SEC FOOTBALL FANFARE STUDENT SUPPORT TEAM

Knight Eady, a Birmingham, Alabama-based sports marketing and event management company, is seeking a student support team to volunteer at the SEC Football Championship Fanfare.

If you have a strong work ethic and are looking for experience as a part of large-scale amateur sports events, this could be a great position for you! This position requires availability to work our event in Atlanta, Georgia, from December 6th - 7th, 2024.  There are also coordinator positions that will require work in advance of the event.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE IMPACT

The positions and primary duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Volunteer Coordinator - Assist with volunteer communication leading up to the event on volunteer platform (Rosterfy), schedule volunteers, check in volunteers onsite, assign volunteers to specific activation areas, coordinate volunteer break times during the event.*Requires work leading up to the event.
  • Interview Stage/Former Player Liaison - Assist the Press Box Coordinator with the SEC Legends and the former SEC players as they arrive on-site, arrange for security if needed for designated guests, work with the sound team to ensure that sound levels are accurate, ensure green room snacks and waters are stocked at all times.
  • Zone Leader(s)- Responsible for overseeing an assigned area that consists of multiple event interactives and activations. Duties include redirecting queue lines, maintenance to equipment, if needed, assistance with volunteer breaks in zone/area, field any sponsor needs or requests, report any spills, incidents, etc.
WHAT YOU HAVE
  • Ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills and the ability to think critically while handling multiple tasks.
  • Our work environment encourages teamwork, collaboration and leadership. The ability to take feedback and contribute to the process is a must.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently, both internally and externally.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to lift objects over 35 lbs.
WHAT GIVES YOU AN EDGE
  • Understanding of the events industry and a requirement to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as required for event execution
