The people who make up our team at Knight Eady serve as the company’s greatest assets. Each individual brings a different strength, personality and energy to the team, which creates a dynamic work environment. Although we work extremely hard for our partners, we also make plenty of room for having fun together because we are firm believers in work life integration. From lake and beach trips to attending sporting events and playing on a Kickball team (and winning the championship), we genuinely consider one another friends.
Jack came onboard at Knight Eady in early 2015 to keep us in line with everything related to accounting and finance, and we could not be more thankful for him. He recently retired as a Member of Barfield Murphy Shank & Smith LLC Accounting Firm but was eager to stay busy and contribute his gifts to Knight Eady. As our Chief Financial Officer, he is responsible for all financial areas of the company including financial reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, cash management, developing banking relationships, strategic planning and financial forecasting. We are thankful that he finds that area of work interesting! Jack also has a great heart for service as he sits on many boards including the Arc of Jefferson County and was even named “Volunteer of the Year” by Arc of Alabama. He also volunteers at Habitat for Humanity, Prison Fellowship Ministry and Dawson Memorial Baptist Church. Jack takes a lot of pride in his family including his wife, Sallie, and two sons, John and David, and of course his six grandchildren- Andrew, Mary Everett, London, Henry, Oliver and Benjamin.
