As a part of our relationship with the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA), Knight Eady manages the Basketball State Finals, which are held in Birmingham during late February each year. In the first year of operating this event, Knight Eady introduced several innovative additions that elevated the experience for the student-athletes, fans and sponsors. For the student-athletes, a brand new court with a design tailored to the state of Alabama, coupled with tangible additions such as championship hats, provided a memorable and unique experience. Dynamic half-time contests, including a half court shot for a chance to win $10,000 and basketball musical chairs for a chance to win a year’s supply of PowerAde, along with interactive social media campaigns, integrated the fans into the event and fostered a deeper connection. Lastly, sponsors were given exclusive and innovative web and social media exposure. Creatively branded tweets including photos, quotes and statistics gained over 1.3 million impressions throughout the six-day period.
