It’s time to break out the running shoes!

One of Knight Eady’s clients, the Lutzie 43 Foundation, is hosting the Fourth Annual Lutzie 43 Road Race in Marietta, Georgia on August 4th. This 5K race and one-mile kids’ fun run honors the memory of Lassiter High School and Auburn University football star, Philip Lutzenkirchen. The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. with the start/finish line on Lutzie Field at Lassiter High School.

The Knight Eady team will be represented by Caroline Harding, Katie Stotts, Lindsey McMahon and David Sikes in Marietta, while the rest of the team will be sporting our official race day t-shirts from Birmingham.

If you are interested in joining us here locally, David Knight is hosting the Homewood virtual run for any runners in the Birmingham area! Register for the race online and join our crew at 8:00 a.m. on August 4th at Homewood Park. We would love for you to run with us!

All funds raised from the Road Race support the Lutzie 43 Foundation, which aims to develop the character of young people and their influencers by focusing on leadership, charity, compassion, mentorship, hard work, honesty and faith through education and real-world application. The foundation’s motto for young students and athletes is to “Live like Lutz, Love like Lutz, and Learn from Lutz,” reflecting their desire to help others live out the many positive character attributes that Philip displayed while learning from the circumstances that led to his death.

“As we strive to carry out Philip’s legacy, events like the annual road race enable us to publicize the mission of the Foundation to make a difference in the lives of others,” said Mike Lutzenkirchen, Philip’s father and the founder of the Lutzie 43 Foundation.

The registration fee for the road race is $43 for adults and $30 for students. All participants will receive the official Lutzie 43 Road Race t-shirt upon registration. Interested participants may register online or receive more information at
